SMP was created to bridge the gap between clinical podiatry and preventative foot care — offering patients a medically-informed, relationship-based approach to ongoing foot health. Today, SMP serves a loyal and growing patient base throughout Monterey County, with locations in Monterey and Salinas. We specialize in preventative and maintenance-focused foot care, particularly for seniors, diabetic patients, and individuals requiring ongoing clinical oversight. We are now seeking a podiatrist to join our established care model in a unique outpatient, cash-based setting. Position Overview This is a contract opportunity for a podiatrist interested in outpatient, preventative-focused care. The role is designed to complement our medical pedicure services by providing focused podiatric evaluation and treatment for conditions beyond routine maintenance care. We are initially seeking coverage for our Salinas location 3-5 days a week, with the opportunity to expand into additional clinic days and locations based on demand. Clinical Responsibilities Ingrown toenail management Callus and corn treatment requiring medical intervention Fungal nail diagnosis and treatment planning Non-acute diabetic foot monitoring Foot pain and biomechanical evaluation Ongoing clinical oversight for maintenance patients This role focuses on outpatient, non-acute care. Surgical or high-acuity cases may be referred externally. Practice Model Cash-pay practice (no insurance billing required) Established referral pipeline and patient base Streamlined scheduling and administrative support Relationship-based, continuity-focused care model SMP provides: Front desk and scheduling support Fully equipped treatment rooms Sterilization systems and supplies Marketing and patient acquisition CompensationRevenue Share Model 50% Provider / 50% SMP SMP provides the established patient base, scheduling, treatment space, supplies, sterilization systems, and operational infrastructure, allowing the provider to focus entirely on clinical care. Estimated Annual Earnings (Full-Time Equivalent) Based on an average of $1,500•3,000 per clinic day :
