Description Join the Longwood Police Department! We are seeking motivated, dedicated, and courageous individuals to serve as Police Officers in our growing community. If you have a strong sense of duty, a commitment to justice, and the desire to make a difference, we want to hear from you! This selection process will be for developing an eligibility list for full time police officer positions. Why Longwood PD? Starting Salary $63,532.69 No Experience? No problem! All officers go through our Field Training Program. Prior Experience? You may be eligible for an additional increase, up to 12%, and we encourage you to ask us about our promotional and lateral transfer opportunities. About Us:
The Longwood Police Department is comprised of 50 law enforcement officers and support staff providing 24-hour coverage to the City's residents, the business community, and visitors. The police department utilizes Uniform Road Patrol, Traffic Enforcement, Criminal Investigations, Community Relations, K-9, andSchool Resource Programs Applicants Must:

The City makes a 10% contribution to general employees' pension plan. The City contributes to the Teamsters (Police), and IAFF employees' pension plan and employees contribute 1% of their salary. Deferred Retirement- Full-Time regular employees have the option of joining a 457 Deferred Retirement Plan in addition to the Employees' Pension Plan. Employee Assistance
