Description Join the Longwood Police Department! We are seeking motivated, dedicated, and courageous individuals to serve as Police Officers in our growing community. If you have a strong sense of duty, a commitment to justice, and the desire to make a difference, we want to hear from you! About Us:
The Longwood Police Department is comprised of 50 law enforcement officers and support staff providing 24-hour coverage to the City's residents, the business community, and visitors. The police department utilizes Uniform Road Patrol, Traffic Enforcement, Criminal Investigations, Community Relations, K-9, and

The City makes a 10% contribution to general employees' pension plan. The City contributes to the Teamsters (Police), and IAFF employees' pension plan and employees contribute 1% of their salary. Sworn firefighters accrue (12) hours per completed month paid sick leave. Sworn police officers accrue (8.4) hours (equivalent to the number of hours in a scheduled work shift).
