IMMEDIATE OPENINGS
The Village of Union Police Department is seeking applicants for Part-Time Police Officers. We are a charming small McHenry County town, and perfect for the recently retired officer or those wanting a slower-paced law enforcement position.
Requirements:
Be of good moral character, of temperate habits, of sound health, and physically and mentally able to perform assigned duties Be at least 21 years of age Pass a medical examination and such other test(s) as may be required by the Village;

  • post-offer physical/drug/psychological test Possess a high school diploma or G.
E.D. certificate Possess a valid driver's license Possess no prior felony convictions or certain misdemeanors by statute Any individual who has served in the U.S. military must have been honorably discharged Be a currently certified police officer in good standing, having been certified by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training Standards Board under Section 8.1 of the Illinois Police Training Act (50 ILCS 705/8.1), and currently working as a police officer in good standing for an Illinois law enforcement agency; or has left his/her agency in good standing within the past 12 months
