Job Description
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Responsible for all metal finishing processes and ensuring that all required processes are completed to produce parts that meet quality and ISO standards.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Polishing, deburring, tumble deburring, blasting, in-process cleaning of surgical instruments and implants. Inspects products to blueprint specifications. Utilizes and completes documentation, as required. Understands and follows policies and procedures. Trains Level I operators in respective work cell to assure good quality parts are being produced in a timely, safe, and efficient manner. Ensures general maintenance and upkeep of equipment. Complies with ISO policies and procedures. Troubleshoots problems associated with equipment, tooling, and processes.OCCASSIONAL DUTIES
Overtime on an as needed basis. Assists supervisor, as needed. Assists in other departments, as needed. Once employee demonstrates competency in position, he/she may be required to train others in similar roles.SKILLS:
Ability to use polishing lathes, suction or pressure blasters required. Expert knowledge of blueprint reading and machinery limitations. Ability to work with minimal supervision and to be team oriented. Excellent visual inspection ability. Sufficient manual dexterity to handle and manipulate delicate parts and measuring instruments Analytical capabilities to interpret detailed and complex blueprints. Ability to operate inspection and measurement equipment.EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of two years of previous experience in all aspects of metal finishing: stainles steel, aluminum, titanium, and some polymers.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
