Seasonal Job Description:

The Town of Weston Parks & Recreation Department is seeking alert, responsible, and highly motivated Lifeguards to join our team at the Weston Middle School Pool. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining a safe, secure, and enjoyable aquatic environment for our community members, swim lesson participants, and camp groups. Key Responsibilities:

Vigilant Surveillance:

Always maintain constant and focused surveillance of the pool area, including open swims, organized swim lessons, and camp group sessions.

Emergency Response:

Recognize and respond quickly and effectively to all aquatic emergencies.

Life-Saving Duties:

Perform water rescues, administer first aid, perform CPR, and deploy an AED when necessary.

Rule Enforcement:

Firmly, fairly, and courteously enforce all pool rules and facility regulations to ensure patron safety.

Group Supervision:

Actively monitor and supervise summer camp groups and youth programs utilizing the pool facilities.

Customer Service:

Assist swimmers, answer patron questions, and provide a welcoming and safe environment for all facility guests.

Ongoing Training:

Attend and actively participate in mandatory monthly in-service trainings to maintain peak readiness.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Age:

Must be at least 15 years old.

Certification:

Must hold a current American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification, which must include Deep Water certification.

Skills:

Strong communication skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to react calmly and effectively in high-pressure emergency situations.

Pay:

$18.00 per hour
