Job Description

Overview
POWER BI SME
(CORPIT) Bowhead seeks a Power BI SME to join an established team in Dahlgren, VA. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data visualization, business intelligence, and analytics, with a strong focus on Power BI. This role will be responsible for leading the development of Power BI solutions, driving data-driven decision-making, and mentoring junior team members. Responsibilities Essential functions include but are not limited to: Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to stakeholders. Create and optimize data models to ensure efficient data retrieval and reporting. Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and translate them into technical specifications. Establish and promote best practices for Power BI development, including data governance, data quality, and performance optimization. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and team members on Power BI and data visualization techniques. Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance the Power BI skills of team members and stakeholders.
Project Management:
Lead and manage Power BI projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. Identify and resolve issues related to Power BI reports, dashboards, and data sources. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum of five to seven (5-7) years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field, with at least 3 years focused on Power BI. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred but not required. IAT Level II certification required (Security +) Proficiency in Power BI, DAX, and Power Query. Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes. Experience with SQL and database management systems. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Power BI certification or relevant business intelligence certifications. Experience with Azure Data Services or other cloud-based data solutions. Familiarity with machine learning and advanced analytics concepts.

Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance at the Top Secret level.
