Prep Cook $22-25/hr ($13hr + $9-12/hr tips)

Pizza Delicious is looking for an experienced prep cook to join our kitchen team! The ideal candidate for this position is quality-focused, pays attention to detail, self-driven and works well as part of a team. Intermediate to advanced knife skills are required. Production or prep cook experience is required.

About Pizza Delicious:

Pizza Delicious is an independent owner operated restaurant that started as a one night a week pop-up and has been a counter service neighborhood restaurant for 14 years. We are a high volume, casual NY style pizzeria with a housemade pasta program and a few salads. We take pride in making as many ingredients as possible from scratch and creating an affordable and accessible dining experience that punches above its weight. We prioritize creating a focused but enjoyable kitchen atmosphere, taking care of our staff and allowing everyone to maintain a good work/life balance.

About this position:

We are searching for the perfect candidate to fill out our morning crew. This position is prep/production focused, following exisiting recipes, doing large batch cooking, supporting our lunch service and setting up our evening crew for success! The position requires a lot of knifework, lifting up to 50 lb, working over an open-flame stove, labeling and rotating product, using safe food handling techniques, closely following written instructions / recipes, checking in and putting away orders, among other activities. We are a high volume restaurant and sharing space/working around other staff will be key!

About the hours:

This position is ~4 regularly scheduled morning shifts per week (~32 hours / week), and requires weekday and weekend availability. There will be ample opportunity for picking up shifts and for cross training in other areas of the restaurant. Flexibility and willingness to pick up shifts on occasion is preferred.

About our payscale:

This position starts at $22-25/hr ($13/hr plus tip pool split across the entire staff: average $9-13 / hr).• We conduct employee reviews every six months; at your first review and most subsequent reviews, you are eligible for a raise.
