Job Description

Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Prepress Graphics Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, preparing, and processing customer-supplied digital files for the flexographic printing process. This position reports directly to the Prepress Manager and plays a critical role in ensuring high-quality print production. $23-$28 per hour based on experience Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive preflight checks on digital files for flexographic printing, identifying missing elements, inconsistencies, or quality concerns, and communicating findings promptly. Accurately set up and enter new jobs into internal systems to support efficient production workflows. Prepare and refine customer-supplied artwork in accordance with internal standard operating procedures (SOPs) for customer review and approval. Conduct thorough digital proofreading to ensure files meet quality and accuracy standards. Finalize approved artwork for plate production, including trapping, layout setup, and stepping. Optimize files by adjusting color profiles in Adobe Photoshop to achieve superior print reproduction results. Apply appropriate screen angles, press curves, and output settings for flexographic printing. Inspect and proof printing plates to verify accuracy of all copy and design elements prior to production. Maintain strong organizational practices, including detailed documentation, job tracking, and recordkeeping. Collaborate cross-functionally with production teams and leadership to streamline workflows and drive continuous process improvements. Promote a safe and compliant work environment by adhering to all health, safety, and workplace policies, including reporting incidents and hazards.
