• Full-time At Walnut Street Daycare Center children learn through play, instruction and exploration.

Various types of play assist in the development of the overall child. Thus, children can develop social, emotional, intellectual and physical skills through safe and enjoyable experiences. We are in search of a fun loving, outgoing, organized individual! We are currently looking for 1 full-time pre-school teacher and 1 part-time preschool teacher. Teacher Qualified per DCFS qualifications is a requirement. This includes hours worked in a child care center, college classes with some in ECE or a related field OR a current CDA. Experience is a must for teachers and is preferred for assistants. Must be self-motivated, flexible, and energetic with excellent communication skill and have classroom management skills. Responsibilities included, but are not limited to:

• Create engaging and educational lesson plans.
• Implement activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and play.
• Monitor and assess each child's progress and communicate with parents/guardians.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive learning experience.
• Utilize child development knowledge to support individualized learning needs.
• Maintain and orderly, clean and safe classroom and environment.
• Maintain 20 hours of in-service training per year (many free or paid for by center opportunities available)
