Preschool Teacher

Crossroads Global Methodist Church has an opportunity for a experienced preschool teacher to be part of our Little Lambs Preschool team. The right candidate will be dedicated to the well-being of children, energetic and have passion for the care and education of children. The requirements include must be at least 21 years of age; 2-year college degree; and CPR and First Aid certified. This teaching role is for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for the next school year.

Job Summary:

Teacher shall be responsible for implementing the academic, social, and spiritual goals of the preschool program.

Part-time, paid hourly

General Description:

Preschool hours for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are: Teacher hours: 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Essential Skills:

Be at least 21 years of age. Completed at least two years of college or equivalent. The college work should comply with the minimum standards established in The Licensing Standards for Day Care Centers (section 407:140). Complete a minimum of 10 hours of in-service training annually. Have a criminal background screening with clear results, and finger prints on file with the Executive Director of Crossroads. Adhere to the personnel policy of Crossroads Global Methodist Church. Certified in first aid and CPR.

Essential Tasks:

Prepare lesson plans and activities according to the curriculum and goals established by the preschool. Provide activities that encourage curiosity, exploration, and problem solving appropriate to the development level and learning style of each child. Ensure the safety and security of all the children in their classroom from the moment they are checked in to the preschool until they are discharged at the end of the session. Report the progress of children to the appropriate parent/guardian and be available to parents/guardians to discuss these issues. Follow guidelines and regulations established by D.C.F.S. pertaining to discipline, safety, and security of all children in their classrooms. Required Meetings and/or

Preschool staff meetings as scheduled throughout the school year. Meet & Greet before school begins, A Christmas and Spring programs at night.
