Full-Time Primary Mental Health Therapist Salary:
$70,000 - $85,000 per year

Full-Time Bishop Health Bishop Health is a leading outpatient mental health treatment program based in South Portland, Maine. We provide Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) services for adults experiencing mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders. Our team is committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care in a collaborative and supportive clinical environment. We focus on helping individuals build long-term stability, resilience, and recovery. Position Summary We are seeking a licensed Primary Mental Health Therapist to join our growing outpatient program. This role is ideal for a clinician who thrives in a structured treatment setting and enjoys providing both individual and group therapy. The Primary Therapist will manage a caseload of clients participating in our PHP and IOP programming, coordinate treatment planning, and collaborate closely with psychiatry, nursing, and the broader clinical team. Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field Active Maine license required, including one of the following:
LCSW LCPC LMSW-C
(supervision available) LCPC-C (supervision available) Experience in behavioral health, outpatient mental health, or PHP/IOP settings preferred Experience facilitating therapeutic groups preferred Strong clinical documentation and assessment skills Responsibilities Provide individual therapy and case management for an assigned caseload Facilitate therapeutic group sessions within PHP and IOP programming Complete biopsychosocial assessments and diagnostic evaluations Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans Coordinate discharge planning and aftercare referrals Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation Collaborate with psychiatric providers and the multidisciplinary treatment team Participate in treatment team meetings and clinical case reviews Assist with admissions, intakes, and utilization review Communicate with referral sources, families, and outside providers as clinically appropriate Join us at Bishop Health where your dedication can transform lives through compassionate care and innovative treatment approaches!
