The Radar Sensor Systems (RSS) organization is seeking a Principal Antenna Test Engineer to support the Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS) production Integration and Test Team (ITT) IPT. As an Antenna Test Engineer you're responsible for all technical aspects of the AAS System-level antenna test regimen at the Forest, MS. Manufacturing site. You'll use metrics and data analysis tools to track production system trends for key performance parameters and identify potential problems in sufficient time for corrective action to be taken and ensure that the product is meeting company's commitments and achieving customer satisfaction. Your overall responsibilities include managing the antenna test execution process, data reduction techniques and tools, test configuration management, antenna range certification and integrity, near-field scanner operation. In this role, you will work with engineering to evaluate and incorporate new antenna modes, new algorithms, and/or new data analysis techniques for enhanced antenna performance or testing methods. You'll also work closely with the ITT Program Manager, Production Chief Engineer and other AAS entities to ensure flawless technical execution. Additional partnerships will include the Customer and internal functional organizations; such as engineering, quality control, procurement, manufacturing, and administrative functions to develop a holistic approach to achieve the required performance.
Additional responsibilities will include:
Accountability for AAS system-level antenna testing Adherence to antenna performance specifications Statistical Process Control (SPC) setup and execution for AAS antenna testing Antenna test optimization and continuous improvement champion Subject Matter Expert (SME) for System Integration and System Assembly antenna test hardware, software, and tools Configuration Control of antenna test hardware, software, tools, and procedures RF chamber shield integrity and antenna range assessments Near Field Scanner operation and maintenance Performing Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) efforts for antenna test failures Providing reports and status as required to program management, engineering, and the Customer Mentoring and developing junior engineers in antenna theory and testing techniques. Ability to travel up to 20% to RTX, vendor and/or customer sites This job is posted as ONSITE, and is based at Raytheon's Forest, MS facility. What We Are Looking For Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
