Under the general administrative direction of the Director of Human Resources and Risk Management or Human Resources/Risk Management Manager, this position performs a variety of professional, technical, and administrative duties to support the services of Human Resources and Risk Management Divisions. The Principal Human Resources Analyst assists with oversight of the daily work for the department and will perform complex analytical work in coordinating, monitoring, and overseeing recruitment and selections processes, employee relations, workers' compensation, benefits administration, leave administration, general liability, and training programs.

Four (4) years of progressively responsible and varied experience in administrative, budgetary, human resources, or risk management, including at least two years in a governmental agency. A Master's degree in public administration, business administration, or a closely related field is highly desirable. Licenses and Certifications Possession of a valid Class "C" California Motor Vehicle Operator's license is required at the time of appointment and as a continuing condition of employment.
