Printing Press Room Supervisor (Flexo and Digital Label Printing)

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee our production processes and ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in operations management, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for optimizing workflows. This role requires effective leadership skills to guide a team, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement within the organization. This is a working supervisor role, you will need to know how to operate printing presses in order to be sucessful in this role. Responsibilities Supervise daily operations to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules. Oversee day-to-day operations with a focus on Flexo UV & water-based printing, and digital printing press , ensuring that production meets quality standards, efficiency goals, and scheduled timelines. Collaborate with team members to establish goals and monitor progress towards achieving them. Oversee the training and development of staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills for their roles. Manage inventory levels, ensuring that materials are available for production without excess waste. Coordinate with other departments, such as sales and logistics, to align operational objectives with overall business goals. Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for enhanced performance. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all employees.

Required Skills and Qualifications Education :

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Experience :

in a manufacturing or packaging environment, with specific expertise in operating and maintaining Flexo UV and water-based printing, and digital printing.

Technical Skills :

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, Etc ) Must have experience with X-Rite software Strong leadership and team management abilities, including staff scheduling and workload balancing. Skilled in machine operation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting for UV, digital, and press equipment. Excellent communication skills for effective cross-departmental collaboration. Knowledge of quality control standards and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies is a plus. Experience with ERP systems and Label Traxx software is highly desirable.
