Urgently Hiring:
RN's for one-to-one care of a child at home in Middletown, NY Sunshine Homecare Services is seeking compassionate and dedicated RN's to provide one-on-one nursing care to a medically fragile child with complex health care needs part time Sunday 7:00pm - 6:30am.
Special skills needed:
Gastrostomy Tube, Pulmonary vest, Bi-pap, and cough assist.
Position Details Schedule:
Sundays 7pm - 6:30am

$50.00 Essential Job Duties Provide direct nursing care to child at home Administer medications and treatments as prescribed Monitor and document the child's health status throughout the evening Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions Assist with medical devices such as feeding tubes, tracheostomies, oxygen, nebulizer and catheters as needed Collaborate with family, and healthcare providers Ensure compliance with the care plan developed by the RN Case Manager and physician Document care and communicate updates with Sunshine Homecare Services and RN case manager. Use appropriate infection control procedures and safety measures. Comply with all company policies, practices, and procedures. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited RN program Current NY State RN license in good standing Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience preferred Experience in school or community health nursing is a plus Certifications/Licenses Valid Nursing Degree/Diploma Active New York State RN License Current CPR Certification Skills & Abilities Strong pediatric care skills required Excellent communication with children, families, and staff Ability to handle emergency situations calmly Organized and detail-oriented documentation skills Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures Physical Requirements & Work Environment Ability to remain on school premises for scheduled hours Ability to assist with student mobility and transfers to and from school and when home Why Work for Sunshine?
