Job Description
Position Overview Miami Family Law Group seeks an experienced Probate Paralegal to manage estate administration, probate proceedings, and related legal documentation. You'll support attorneys in handling complex estates, trust administration, and family law matters with probate components. This role requires strong probate expertise and the ability to manage multiple cases with precision. Responsibilities Prepare and review legal documents for probate proceedings, estate transfers, wills, trusts, and estate administration Conduct legal research on probate procedures, UCC law, Florida statutes, and estate planning best practices Manage case files and deadlines using case management systems; maintain organized, accurate documentation Draft legal correspondence, pleadings, agreements, and court filings Coordinate client interviews; gather and organize estate and family law documentation Research and analyze estate assets, liabilities, and distribution requirements Support attorneys in probate litigation and contested estate matters Maintain compliance with court filing deadlines and procedural requirements Perform data entry and document review; proofread for accuracy and completeness Required Qualifications Minimum 3+ years probate experience in a law office setting (required—no exceptions) Deep knowledge of Florida probate law, estate administration procedures, and UCC provisions Proficiency with legal case management software (e.g., Clio, LexisNexis, PCLaw, or similar) Strong writing and legal research skills; ability to draft court documents Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously Attention to detail in proofreading and document organization Effective client communication and interviewing skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Preferred Experience with family law matters involving estate planning or probate components Familiarity with trust administration and fiduciary accounting Experience managing contested probate or estate litigation What We Offer Competitive salary: $65-$90k (based on experience) 401(k) with employer matching Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and life insurance Health savings account (HSA) Paid time off and professional development support Tuition reimbursement
