Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Probate Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this vital role, you will assist attorneys in managing probate and estate administration cases, ensuring smooth and efficient processes from start to finish. Your expertise will help clients navigate complex legal procedures with confidence, providing clarity and support throughout the estate settlement journey. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your paralegal skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment dedicated to delivering exceptional legal service. Responsibilities Prepare and file probate petitions, estate inventories, and related legal documents accurately and promptly Conduct thorough legal research on estate laws, tribal regulations, UCC law, and other relevant legal areas to support case development Manage case files using document management systems such as iManage and PCLaw, ensuring all records are organized and up-to-date Interview clients, witnesses, and other stakeholders to gather essential information for estate proceedings Review and analyze legal documents including wills, trusts, contracts, and court filings for accuracy and compliance Assist attorneys with drafting legal correspondence, pleadings, and reports while maintaining high standards of proofreading and transcription accuracy Coordinate with courts, financial institutions, government agencies, and other parties involved in probate cases to facilitate smooth communication and process flow Requirements Proven experience as a paralegal with a strong background in estate planning, probate law, or related legal fields Familiarity with legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis to support case analysis Proficiency in legal case management software including iManage, PCLaw, and document management systems Knowledge of UCC law, tribal regulations, securities law, environmental law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, family law, landlord-tenant law, patent law, immigration law or litigation is a plus Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently under tight deadlines Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence with attention to detail Effective interviewing skills combined with professional phone etiquette for client interactions Experience in legal administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, proofreading, transcription, and document review Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating initiative and problem-solving capabilities Join us to be part of a dedicated team that values precision, professionalism, and proactive service.
