About the Role Vendor Responsibilities (With Management approval) Negotiate terms of sale with manufacturers - suppliers and converters. Maintain service contracts/ rates for manufacturing/converting. Responsibilities Production Planning Manage the Advanced Forecasting and Procurement process for all products. Review and compare all purchases to the cash flow projections. Inventory Control Planning and Review Maintain adequate inventory levels at all warehouse locations. Target and manage annual Inventory Turns with Corporate Budget. Manage the arrival entries, purchase receipts, converting entry receipts. Create and maintain overstock reports and lead reduction planning. Physical Inventory and Reconciliation Reviews monthly reconciliation reports and perform Physical Inventory at each warehouse or consignment location at least one time per year with Operations department. Analytical Responsibility Create various analytical studies on usage, costs, warehousing, freight, product profitability, etc. These require a working knowledge of the database system and operational flow of all business generated by and for MII. Handles business relationships and problem solving with professionalism when communicating with all levels of this and other companies. Defines, maintains, and implements procedural standards for the Advanced Forecasting and Procurement Process and Planning. Understands industry regulations (both current and expected changes) relevant to all company services including the administration / compliance/ audits of FSC and other relevant product certifications (with Sales Administration). Provides direction to other managers with regard to scheduling work and staffing needs. Highly proficient in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Supervisory Responsibilities Supervises 3 managers who perform inventory control functions including purchase receipts, converting entries, logistics, select planning, ordering and reporting. Manages Procurement and planning for all products and services of the company. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these areas within the Inventory Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and 15 or more year's related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 3 years' experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP Language Skills English Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Other Skills Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Working knowledge of office systems.
