In this role, you will oversee sourcing activities, manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and optimize procurement processes to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services. Your expertise will be vital in supporting manufacturing, logistics, and overall business objectives through innovative sourcing strategies and effective category management. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals, focusing on cost savings, quality, and supplier performance. Lead sourcing initiatives across multiple categories, including raw materials, components, and services, utilizing ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS for procurement planning and execution. Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, delivery schedules, and service levels while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations such as Federal Acquisition Regulations. Manage supplier relationships through regular performance reviews, root cause analysis of supply issues, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain resilience. Oversee procurement management processes including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, materials management, and production planning to support manufacturing operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as logistics, quality management, manufacturing, and finance to streamline procurement workflows and improve overall supply chain efficiency. Requirements Proven experience in procurement management within manufacturing or industrial environments with a strong understanding of supply chain principles. Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, or similar platforms for procurement execution and materials management. Extensive knowledge of contract negotiation techniques, contract management practices, and sourcing strategies. Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis on supply disruptions or quality issues. Knowledge of federal regulations related to procurement including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). Excellent negotiation skills combined with the ability to build long-term supplier partnerships based on trust and performance. Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
