Back Product & Process Specialist#2014159 Warren, Michigan, United StatesApply X Facebook LinkedIn Email Copy Job Description The Product Process Specialist will be responsible for managing designated manufacturing processes in a fast paced, high volume, unionized, manufacturing environment. The Product Process Specialist (PPS) will be responsible for ensuring conformance of processes and coordinating engineering, tooling and quality changes in their assigned area/department. The selected candidate will coordinate all safety, quality, delivery, cost and morale initiatives. Provide coaching and mentoring to team members (both bargaining unit and supervisory) regarding Stellantis Industrial System (SIS) techniques for problem solving and corrective action implementation. The PPS will interface with AME, Program Management, Product Engineering and Supplier Quality to assure compliance to build requirements as well as to drive product changes necessary to improve quality.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

Responsible for the direct supervision of bargaining unit employeesManage Process Sheets through Advanced Manufacturing Planning System (AMPS), propose modifications and guarantee process standardization across all shiftsAnalyze quality data, prioritize issues based on quality data and provide recommendations for improvement to the teamManage and lead part/process changes that affect the floorAudit and manage process parameters and identify optimal strategy based on CP-CPK resultsRoot cause vehicle dimensional parameter issues to improve quality metricsEnsure non-conforming parts are identified and processedCollaborate with Team Leaders, Engineers and other roles in continuous improvement activitiesActively participate and lead kaizen project activities centered on Safety, Cost, Quality and throughput improvements and waste reduction opportunities identified through cost deployment Location(s) 21500 Mound Road, Warren, Michigan 48091,

United States Requirements Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a technical / engineering discipline; or bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with manufacturing processes, tooling, quality control methods and statistical process control (SPC).Ability to work any shift and overtime as requiredExcellent organization, written and oral communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various levels of employees within all areas of the Plant from hourly represented employees to Senior Leadership as requiredAbility to build effective business relationships with plant leadership and customersGoal oriented self-starter with ability to lead teams.

Ability to coach/mentor/develop team membersMust have a good working knowledge of

Microsoft Officeand Google SuitePreferred Qualifications:

Previous manufacturing supervisory experiencePrevious experience working in a union environmentExperience in continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturingAbility to read, interpret, and understand engineering documents, technical standards and design specifications.
