Back Product Quality Engineering Lead#2014664 Warren, Michigan, United StatesApply X Facebook LinkedIn Email Copy Job Description The Quality organization is currently seeking a skilled, solutions-oriented Lead Resident Engineer to join Stellantis's Corporate Quality Team at Warren, Michigan. The Lead Resident Engineer will report to the Resident Engineering Manager of Corporate Quality and lead will a team of 3 to 4 Engineers to provide support to all quality systems, technical expertise, and support hourly and manufacturing salary personnel at Sterling Heights Assembly Plant facility. As a lead you will need to collaborate with plant manufacturing and Engineering operations to champion quality systems, and improvements in all functional areas. As a Lead Engineer you will be required to provide support with advanced problem solving, Engineering, and knowledge to identify risks to establish risk mitigation plans to resolve production and quality system deficiencies. The selected candidate will oversee and review project deliverables throughout the project lifecycle ensuring the product meets or exceeds customers' needs and expectations. The candidate must be high-energy, hands-on individual with strength of convictions -- a self-confident leader who, in part due to his/her personal presence, style and demeanor, effectively provides ideas, solutions and leadership to others. Moreover, this person must have unquestioned integrity.

Specific responsibilities are:
Lead a team of 3 to 4 Engineers, responsible to meet the Quality KPI'sSupport Corporate Quality objectives/deliverables and communicate customer demands to all groups involved to ensure organizational successProvide expert technical leadership in coordinating and directing cross functional teams in the application of quality initiativesProvide clear direction to skilled and non-skilled trades in the operation of product testing and evaluation to generate necessary quality test dataCollaborate and lead internal and external resources to maintain strong customer relationships with dedication to the program scheduleProtect product design intent and function while assisting with identification and solutions of manufacturing constraintsDeliver statistical analysis of data on competition, customer direction, product performance, employee performance and perception of the customer to the manufacturing team membersProvide technical direction to employees regarding root cause analysis, issue resolution and establish corrective actions serving as the subject matter expert (SME) within the manufacturing facilityInterpret released engineering designs, specifications, materials and standards for hourly and salary personnelEngineer process variation reductionEmploy advanced problem-solving expertise to correct unfavorable variances and communicate alternative measures to mitigate engineering, timing and/or financial issuesEmpowered (hold authority) to cease and commence product related activities in relation to quality related issuesLead teams to identify risks/hazards associated with product designs, processes, applications, applying lessons learned, and assist in the generation of FMEA's and associated Control Plans.Provide supervision necessary to perform, administer or direct rework/repair methods and processes in compliance with engineering standards Location(s) 21500 Mound Road, Warren, Michigan 48091,
United States Requirements Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (preferably electrical engineering)8+ years of quality related experience with a strong electrical backgroundPrevious experience in an Engineering Department, Vehicle Plant or Project teamAbility to lead an Engineering team to deliver product changes and launches on timeExperience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective actionsStrong communication skills, both written and verbal from Executive meetings to the Shop FloorAbility to work off shift hours as necessarySelf-motivated and directedAbility to thrive in a high intensity environment while working on multiple projectsHigh proficiency in verbal and writtenEnglishPreferred Qualifications:
