Job Description

Job Title:
Production Associate (1st Shift) ($17.00-18.00/hr.) Job Description This role involves small-part, electronics-related production work in a clean, seated environment, supporting multiple stages of a cable and circuit-board assembly process. You will read and follow detailed work instructions, perform highly repetitive tasks with your hands and feet, and help ensure production flows smoothly through gluing, housing cable assembly, and shelling cable operations. Openings are on 1st shift (7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.), and based on your interview you will be assigned to the position that best matches your skills. We are looking for individuals to start as soon as possible after interviewing. We offer weekly pay with overtime paying time and a half. Apply Today! Responsibilities Read and follow written work instructions and work orders to meet daily production quotas across different stations. Perform highly repetitive, seated production work while maintaining focus and accuracy throughout the shift. Operate production equipment and tools safely and consistently according to training and procedures. As a Gluing Operator, sit at a dedicated station and apply beads of glue to wires passing through a machine that uses ultraviolet light. Use both hands and feet to operate the gluing machine and foot pedal to apply glue beads accurately. Monitor the quality of glued wires, paying close attention to detail to ensure all products meet established quality standards. In Shelling Cables, take two 12-inch cables and connect them to a circuit board as specified. Apply a small plastic housing over two cables and use a small hand press to snap the top and bottom halves together securely. Follow directions for the required number of cable assemblies to be completed each day, measured by cable length and quantity. Connect wired cables to circuit boards once the housing is completed and route them correctly to create the final assembly. In Housing Cable Assembly, insert crimped wires into small plastic housings at the ends of the wires as shown in work examples. Place small caps or plastic pieces on the ends of wires repeatedly, following the specified assembly method. Complete the required number of housing assemblies each day in line with production targets. Perform small-part assembly using hand tools and fixtures as needed. Conduct visual inspection of small parts, cables, and assemblies to identify defects or inconsistencies. Follow instructions precisely to ensure correct assembly steps, order, and orientation of components. Maintain consistent productivity so that your station does not create bottlenecks for other stages of the production line. Work cooperatively in a shared production room, communicating with team members and leads as needed. Keep your work area clean and organized, supporting a very clean and orderly production environment. Essential Skills Proven ability to perform visual inspection with high attention to detail on small parts and assemblies. Experience working in a production or assembly-line environment (preferred). Hands-on experience assembling small parts in a repetitive, process-driven setting. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and consistently. Comfort performing repetitive tasks while seated for extended periods. Capability to use both hands and feet to operate simple production machinery and foot pedals. Basic experience with general production tasks, including assembly and inspection. Ability to maintain steady productivity to meet daily quotas and support continuous production flow. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with cable assembly or working with cables is a strong plus. Experience in electronics or electronic assembly is highly beneficial. Familiarity with cleanroom-style or very clean production environments is an advantage. Experience using small hand tools and hand presses for assembly work. Comfort working in a general production environment with small-part assembly and inspection responsibilities. Strong reliability, including consistent attendance and a positive, cooperative attitude. Willingness to work 1st shift (7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.). Why Work Here? You will join a very clean, laid-back production environment where you can focus on your work while listening to music through ear pods (audio only, no videos). The organization offers competitive pay rates for this type of work and provides opportunities for contractors to be considered for direct hire after approximately six months, based on strong attendance, a positive attitude, and solid productivity. You will contribute to products used in the construction industry that help test foundations and concrete quality, supporting safer, more precise building projects. The culture emphasizes steady performance, respect for teammates, and a comfortable, organized workspace. Work Environment The role is based in a production-focused environment where all related positions operate within a single room, allowing you to see the full flow of work from crimping to housing cable assemblies, shelling cables, and gluing. The workspace is very clean and organized, with approximately 12 employees seated at individual workstations performing small-part and cable assembly tasks. Work is primarily seated and repetitive, using small hand tools, hand presses, and simple machinery such as gluing equipment with ultraviolet light and foot pedals. You will work either 1st shift (7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.) or 2nd shift (3:30 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.), depending on assignment. The environment is production-based, so consistent output is important to prevent bottlenecks on the line. Ear pods are allowed for listening to music (no videos), contributing to a relaxed yet focused atmosphere, and the overall setting is described as very clean and laid back.
