Job Description

Production Coordinator 1st shift $21 - $23 Coppell, TX Job Description The Production Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining a smooth production flow by ensuring all production documentation is accurate, complete, and available to support production schedules. This entry-level role focuses on converting bills of materials (BOMs) into SAP travelers, printing labels and drawings from SAP, and supporting production, planning, and inventory teams with timely and precise data entry. This position offers an excellent opportunity to learn supply chain management within a world-class manufacturing environment and to build a strong foundation in production planning and ERP systems. Responsibilities Generate and distribute accurate production traveler documents from SAP and other sources, ensuring all required information, labels, and media are included for production personnel. Convert bills of materials (BOMs) into SAP travelers and verify that all components, routing steps, and documentation align with the production schedule. Print and organize labels, drawings, and other production documentation directly from SAP to support daily manufacturing activities. Maintain and update SAP data related to production orders, materials, and inventory to ensure information remains current and accurate. Support production scheduling and planning by preparing documentation in advance and coordinating with planners to align travelers with schedule requirements. Assist with material kitting and spare parts documentation to ensure materials are properly identified, labeled, and ready for use in production. Perform accurate data entry for order information, inventory transactions, and production updates in SAP and other ERP tools. Coordinate with production, supply chain, and warehouse teams to resolve documentation issues and ensure travelers and labels meet operational needs. Prepare and maintain documentation and reports related to production activities, inventory status, and order processing. Use Microsoft Office and Excel to track, organize, and report on production and inventory information as needed. Communicate clearly with colleagues across production, planning, and warehouse functions to support efficient workflow and resolve discrepancies. Organize and prioritize tasks to meet production deadlines and maintain a consistent flow of documentation to the shop floor. Essential Skills Experience or training in production traveler creation, including generating and distributing travelers from SAP or similar ERP systems. Ability to perform SAP data maintenance, including updating production orders, materials, and related records. Familiarity with production, supply chain, and inventory processes within a manufacturing environment. Competence in inventory management and order entry within an ERP or SAP-based system. Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail and accuracy. Experience supporting production scheduling and planning activities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel, for documentation, tracking, and reporting. Effective communication skills to collaborate with production, planning, and warehouse teams. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and documentation requirements simultaneously. Ability to prepare and maintain documentation and reporting related to production and inventory. Comfort working with ERP systems, including SAP, for production, planning, and inventory activities. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with material kitting and spare parts documentation in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Experience in production planning, production scheduling, or supply chain support. Exposure to documentation and reporting processes in a manufacturing or logistics setting. General understanding of ERP concepts and workflows beyond SAP, such as other enterprise resource planning tools. Interest in developing a career in supply chain management, production planning, or manufacturing operations. Ability to adapt to training on SAP usage, label creation, and new documentation processes as needed. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Lewisville, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
