Job Description

Summary The Planner will coordinate with sales, production, engineering, and purchasing to ensure customer demands are met. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Collaborates with sales, production, engineering, logistics, and purchasing to establish and plan production schedules within capacity restraints. Respond to sales with best open date according to customer request and production capacity. Alerts appropriate departments as to schedule changes or delays. Maintains inventories at optimum levels to ensure units are shipped complete with minimal back orders. Track and review new designs and coordinate with Engineering on missing information for work order and bill of materials setup. Review orders for missing information on shipping destinations, paint codes, etc. before release to production. Responsible for delivering all paperwork to the production floor. Vetting all AFS and HPC orders. Ensures an efficient flow of materials, parts and assemblies in support of the production schedule and after-market parts sales. Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities No supervisory responsibilities. Travel and Work Environment No travel required. Safety Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly. Education and/or Experience 3 to 4 years of scheduling experience in a production environment required. Bachelor?s degree in business administration, Accounting, or another related field preferred. Computer Skills Proficiency with production ERP systems and Microsoft Excel Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
