Job Description

Monday-Thursday 7am-5pm with Friday overtime as needed. $18.50/hour. Hayes Manufacturing has been making quality power transmission products since 1973. To learn more, visit us at hayescouplings.com. Hayes Manufacturing is looking for a Production Parts Puller at our Fife Lake, MI location. The Production Parts Puller is responsible for the daily pulling of parts from a listed Bill of Materials and or planning documents for production jobs, placing them on carts and staging in designated areas of production for Production Technicians.
What You'll Do:
Be responsible for the daily pulling of parts from a listed Bill of Materials and or planning documents for production jobs. Place materials on carts per job and stage them in the designated areas on the production floor. Check parts received for jobs several times daily to verify parts for sales orders on the Production floor or jobs that are staged. Movement of material may be done using forklifts, pallet-jacks, ladders, scanners, and scales. Maintain a clean and safe work environment while complying with all health and safety policies and procedures. Visit production Supervisors and/or production technicians periodically to assure there are no missing parts or concerns on the production floor.
What You'll Need:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Manufacturing or inventory systems experience. Mechanical aptitude, ability recognize various automotive and mechanical-type parts. Ability to read and understand documented work instructions. Good mathematical skills. Verbal and written communication proficiency. Initiative - ability to work with minimal supervision. Friendly and customer-focused attitude.
What Helps:
1-3 years mechanical, engine parts, engine terminology, and parts pulling experience a plus. Inventory control experience a plus. Material handling tools and machines experience a plus.
