Job Description

SUMMARY:
Responsible for overseeing the planning, scheduling, and coordination of manufacturing activities while ensuring optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand and business objectives. This role balances efficiency and cost-effectiveness by managing the flow of materials, minimizing waste, and maximizing productivity.
Production Planning and Scheduling:
Develop and implement production schedules, considering resource allocation (personnel, equipment, materials) and capacity analysis, to ensure timely delivery of products and maximize schedule adherence.
Inventory Management and Control:
Oversee all inventory operations, including tracking stock levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods, to prevent shortages or surpluses. This involves managing cycle counts, audits, and implementing robust inventory control procedures to maintain high data accuracy.
Demand Forecasting and Material Planning:
Analyze sales forecasts, historical data, and market trends to predict future inventory needs and develop a supply plan as part of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process. •
Supply Chain Coordination:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, sales, and manufacturing, to ensure a seamless flow of materials and alignment with overall business goals.
Process Improvement:
Identify areas for improvement and implement best practices, such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles, to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize production processes.
Systems Management:
Implement and maintain production control systems, such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and inventory management tools, to streamline operations, track inventory movements, and generate reports.
Leadership and Staff Management:
Supervise, train, and mentor a team of production control and inventory staff, providing guidance and support to ensure performance goals are met and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Reporting and Analysis:
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory turnover, on-time delivery, and production output, reporting insights and performance metrics to senior management. --ALL
