English required; Spanish or Mandarin preferred Position Summary The Production Supervisor oversees daily manufacturing operations on assigned production lines and shifts. This position is responsible for supervising production employees and temporary staff while ensuring production goals, quality standards, safety expectations, and operational efficiency are consistently maintained. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can effectively manage floor operations, resolve production issues quickly, and support a productive and safe team environment. Essential ResponsibilitiesProduction Operations Oversee day-to-day production activities across assigned lines and shifts. Ensure employees follow established work instructions, procedures, and production standards. Supervise production operators and temporary employees by assigning work, monitoring performance, and providing support as needed. Address operational issues such as equipment problems, staffing concerns, material shortages, and production delays to minimize downtime. Monitor and communicate daily production performance, downtime, scrap, and output metrics to management. Quality & Safety Maintain compliance with company quality standards and production specifications. Identify production or quality concerns and assist in implementing corrective actions. Promote and enforce workplace safety policies and safe operating procedures. Conduct routine floor inspections to ensure housekeeping, organization, and 5S standards are maintained. Report accidents, hazards, and safety concerns immediately to management and Safety personnel. Team Leadership & Development Assist with training and onboarding new production employees and temporary associates. Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to production staff. Support employee development by identifying training opportunities and operational skill gaps. Encourage teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and positive employee relations on the production floor. Communication & Coordination Work closely with Maintenance regarding equipment breakdowns, repairs, and preventive maintenance needs. Communicate shift updates, operational concerns, and production status clearly during shift handoffs. Coordinate appropriately with staffing agencies and escalate HR-related matters through the proper channels. Collaborate with Production Management, Quality, Safety, and HR departments to support daily operations. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment. Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, assembly processes, and production equipment. Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced production setting. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of workplace safety standards, quality systems, and 5S practices. Experience working with multilingual teams is preferred. English proficiency required; Spanish or Mandarin language skills are a plus. ERP or SAP system experience preferred but not required.
