Production Worker Job Description This role supports both production and warehouse operations by assembling and packaging products, performing quality checks, and handling material movement. You will work with tools such as RF scanners, tablets, forklifts, pallet jacks, and packing equipment to ensure orders are accurately kitted, packed, and shipped on time. The position offers consistent weekday hours in a clean, climate-controlled, and laid-back environment. Responsibilities Bag and assemble product kits containing vials according to work orders and specifications. Perform quality checks on products and packaging to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards. Complete work orders and required production documentation in a timely and accurate manner. Assemble boxes and pack finished products securely for shipment. Use a tablet and RF scanner for data entry, order tracking, and document scanning. Sit at an individual table or bench to kit orders and maintain an organized work area. Operate a stand-up forklift while harnessed in to access and move products within racking systems. Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently. Lift items up to 50 lbs as needed to support production and warehouse tasks. Operate packing machines, palletizers, and automated tape machines to prepare shipments. Perform picking and packing duties using electric pallet jacks and other material handling equipment. Carry out physical activities such as balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling as part of daily tasks. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and orderly work area. Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues or discrepancies to support smooth operations. Essential Skills Experience with RF scanners for inventory, picking, and data entry tasks. Assembly experience in a production or similar environment. Warehouse or forklift experience, including comfort operating a stand-up forklift. Ability to perform packing, picking, shipping, and inventory-related tasks. Comfort working at heights while harnessed in on a stand-up forklift. Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis. Capability to perform physical activities such as balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling. Basic data entry skills using tablets or similar electronic devices. Experience using pallet jacks, particularly electric pallet jacks. Familiarity with packing, packaging, and shipping processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience operating packing machines, palletizers, and automated tape machines. Experience in production, inventory, assembly, packing, picking, forklift operation, RF scanner use, packaging, pallet jack operation, and shipping. Ability to work independently at an assigned workstation while maintaining productivity and accuracy. Strong attention to detail when assembling kits, performing quality checks, and completing documentation. Willingness to work in both production and warehouse areas as business needs require. The position follows a Monday through Friday schedule. Production hours are 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with the option to choose between these shifts, while warehouse hours are 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. You will use equipment such as RF scanners, tablets, stand-up forklifts with harnesses, electric pallet jacks, packing machines, palletizers, and automated tape machines. The work involves a mix of sitting at an individual table or bench for kitting and data entry, as well as standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, and performing various physical activities throughout the shift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockwood, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
