Level 14. The salary range starts at $58,465, and can increase based upon education level and relevant work experience.
Job Summary:
The Professional Learning Coordinator is responsible for managing the Professional Learning Management System (PLMS), including building, maintaining, and supporting the system while ensuring accurate data with multiple departments throughout the Bucks IU to track staff training requirements. They organize and schedule professional learning events, coordinate with course providers and training programs to ensure proper implementation, and oversee the implementation of the Learning Management System (LMS). Additionally, the coordinator handles various administrative tasks, including financial reporting, event registration, and compliance with professional development requirements.
Essential Functions:
Professional Learning Management System (PLMS)
  • Interact extensively with various departments throughout Bucks IU to determine business requirements and needs for the PLMS data system.
  • Build, design, maintain, and support all aspects of the PLMS data system.
  • Collaborate with Technology and Human Resources on system data syncs and transfers.
  • Translate requirements of clients into workable models within the PLMS.
  • Create and maintain user documentation and procedures that impact the use of the PLMS and for other professional learning areas of responsibility.
  • Provide technical support, training, guidance, and resource support for internal and external end users of the PLMS.
  • Learn technology with formal and informal training and apply the learning in PLMS and other enterprise systems to solve day to day professional learning business pain points and processes. Professional Learning Organizational Programming
  • Plan and schedule professional learning events, including the organization of trainers, training space, registration, and course materials. Examples of ongoing programs include CPI, CPR/AED/First Aid Training, and CPE courses.
  • Work collaboratively with Bucks IU team members and representatives from higher education to plan and execute graduate credit partnerships. Develop and oversee the processes needed to support these partnerships.
  • Oversee the implementation of the learning management system (LMS).
  • Oversee the implementation and set up of learning plans to track and report on required trainings for staff, including the 20-hour paraprofessional plans. Work with multiple departments to plan, set-up and communicate the processes around these requirements. Professional Learning Administrative Tasks
  • Liaison regularly with the Bucks IU Business Office to provide reports and develop procedures around the financial aspects of professional learning programming.
  • Prepare and deliver weekly in person orientation trainings.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure that administrative tasks are completed in a timely fashion, including but not limited to set-up of event registration, attendance, invoicing, Act 48/45 PDE uploads, graduate programs administrative tasks and professional credit processes.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time, 260-day calendar position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Hours of work may vary based on position and division but generally are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Occasional travel to client and event locations is expected for this position
Qualifications Education and Experience:
  • Associate's degree required.
  • Bachelor's degree beneficial
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
o At least two (2) years of experience in organizing and/or planning professional learning opportunities. o Experience with web-based database systems, application programming interfaces (APIs), and basic web design skills such as HTML and JavaScript. o Advanced competency in various databases, Microsoft Office, Microsoft SharePoint, learning management systems, web-based media services, and the ability to learn other software as needed. o Ability to create, manage and edit spreadsheets, and query reports from a database. o Ability to work independently and within a team to accomplish goals and to problem solve. o Excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills. o Excellent oral and written communication skills. Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable): Citizenship or work authorization to work in the United States required.
