Professional Pet Groomer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled, highly-experienced, and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing professional grooming services to a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, and other small pets as needed. Your primary goal will be to ensure the comfort and well-being of each pet while delivering high-quality grooming services.

Responsibilities:

• Perform grooming services such as bathing, brushing, haircuts, nail trims, and ear cleaning for various breeds of dogs and cats
• Assess the condition of each pet's coat and skin and recommend appropriate grooming techniques
• Handle animals with care and compassion, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the grooming process
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area, including proper sanitation of tools and equipment
• Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their specific grooming requests and provide exceptional customer service
• Monitor the health and behavior of pets during grooming sessions, reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff members
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and techniques by attending workshops or continuing education programs

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Pet Groomer is required. Please do not apply if you do not have at least 2 years experience as a professional pet groomer or have completed a grooming certification course.
• Knowledge of different grooming styles for various breeds of dogs
• Familiarity with grooming tools and equipment, including clippers, shears, brushes, combs, and nail trimmers
• Strong animal handling skills with the ability to safely restrain pets during grooming procedures
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners
• Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for animals
