$65,000–$80,000 About the Company Our client, a growing and well-established organization in the Oxford, CT area, is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Project Cost Accountant to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with project managers and leadership while playing a key role in financial tracking, reporting, and project performance analysis. Responsibilities Monitor and track project costs, budgets, and financial performance Prepare and maintain job cost reports and project profitability analyses Review project-related expenses to ensure accurate coding and allocation Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for ongoing projects Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes Reconcile project accounts and investigate discrepancies Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate financial reporting and cost control Prepare billing support documentation and assist with invoicing processes Maintain accurate financial records and documentation related to projects Assist with process improvements and implementation of best practices related to project accounting Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 1+ years of accounting experience, preferably in project accounting, cost accounting, construction, manufacturing, or related industries Strong understanding of job costing and project-based accounting principles Proficiency in Excel and accounting software/ERP systems Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset Why Apply?
