Job Description
Project Manager - Mechanical ConstructionThe OpportunityThis is an opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to oversee and deliver complex construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. The role offers full ownership of project execution, direct interaction with clients and field leadership, and responsibility for driving financial, schedule, and quality performance across multiple projects.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage mechanical construction projects from award through completionDevelop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and cost forecastsLead project kickoff meetings and coordinate with field supervision, subcontractors, and vendorsOversee procurement of materials and equipment to meet project milestonesReview and manage subcontractor scopes, change orders, and payment applicationsEnsure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and contract requirementsTrack project labor productivity, cost performance, and risk exposureCoordinate with engineering and estimating teams during preconstruction and design phasesMaintain strong client relationships and serve as the primary point of contactPrepare and present project reporting, including cost-to-complete and schedule updatesDrive project closeout activities, including documentation, commissioning support, and final billingQualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)5+ years of experience managing mechanical construction projectsProven experience with HVAC, piping, and/or plumbing systemsStrong understanding of project financials, contracts, and change managementExperience managing projects valued at $10M+ preferredAbility to lead teams and coordinate across multiple stakeholdersStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsProficiency with project management and construction software toolsWhat's OfferedAutonomy to manage projects from start to finishExposure to complex, technical mechanical systems and large-scale construction workCompetitive compensation packageLong-term growth opportunity within project leadership
