Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Manager to lead and oversee construction projects from inception to completion. In this role, you will coordinate all aspects of project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Your expertise in construction management software, project scheduling, and blueprint reading will drive successful outcomes across diverse construction initiatives. Duties Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation. Coordinate with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and seamless project execution. Monitor project progress daily, adjusting schedules and resources as needed to meet deadlines and quality standards. Review construction schematics, blueprints, and contracts to ensure compliance with design specifications and regulatory requirements. Utilize construction management software. Oversee site activities to ensure safety protocols are followed and work is performed according to plan. Manage project documentation including change orders, RFIs (Request for Information), and progress reports to maintain transparency and accountability. Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Execution Review project drawings, specifications, and contracts Develop project schedules, milestones, and budgets Coordinate detailing, fabrication, and installation timelines Ensure alignment with client requirements and industry standards Client & Stakeholder Communication Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and vendors Lead project meetings and provide status updates Manage expectations and resolve issues or changes Fabrication & Production Coordination Work closely with shop supervisors and engineers to plan fabrication Monitor production progress and address bottlenecks Ensure materials, labor, and equipment are available as needed Procurement & Materials Management Oversee purchasing of steel, hardware, and subcontracted services Track material deliveries and inventory Coordinate with suppliers to avoid delays Budget & Cost Control Track project costs, labor hours, and material usage Identify cost-saving opportunities Manage change orders and ensure proper documentation Quality Assurance & Compliance Ensure fabrication meets drawings, codes, and standards (e.g., AWS, AISC) Coordinate inspections and quality checks Maintain documentation for compliance and audits Scheduling & Logistics Coordinate delivery schedules and transportation of fabricated steel Work with field crews and erection teams Adjust schedules to handle delays or changes Risk Management Identify potential risks (production delays, supply issues, design conflicts) Develop mitigation plans Ensure safety standards are followed in shop and field operations Experience Proven experience in construction management or a related field with a strong background in project coordination on heavy civil or commercial projects. Extensive knowledge of construction estimating techniques and cost control practices. Proficiency in project management tools such as Primavera P6, Primavera P3 (or similar), HeavyBid, Bluebeam, Civil 3D, and other construction management software. Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Hands-on experience working on construction sites with a solid understanding of safety standards and site operations. Strong skills in contract administration, time management, and effective communication across multiple stakeholders. Familiarity with construction site logistics, scheduling techniques for large-scale projects, and the use of project scheduling methodologies.
