Position Overview We are seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to lead the delivery of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems for commercial and industrial construction projects. The MEP Project Manager will oversee project planning, coordination, execution and closeout to ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, safely and to quality and code standards. This role requires strong construction management experience, technical MEP knowledge and proven project leadership skills to coordinate design teams, contractors, vendors and clients. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the full project lifecycle for MEP scopes, from preconstruction and design coordination through installation, commissioning and closeout. Develop, maintain and drive project schedules and budgets; prepare forecasts, track costs, and manage project profitability. Coordinate and review MEP design documents, shop drawings and submittals; lead design coordination meetings and resolve technical conflicts with architects, engineers and trade partners. Manage procurement and vendor/subcontractor selection, scopes of work, contracts and performance to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. Oversee on-site construction activities related to MEP systems; conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality, adherence to specifications and compliance with codes and standards. Direct commissioning, testing and start-up activities for mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, and ensure completion of required documentation and as-built records. Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies; enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with company and regulatory safety requirements. Prepare and present regular project status reports to clients and senior leadership; manage client relationships and respond to RFIs, change orders and claims. Mentor and lead project teams, provide clear direction and foster collaboration across disciplines to meet project goals and deadlines. Ensure successful project closeout including final inspections, warranty handovers, punch-list completion and final invoicing. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered. Minimum 58 years of progressive construction experience with a focus on MEP systems and demonstrated project management responsibility. Proven experience managing commercial or industrial MEP projects, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement and site supervision. Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, codes and standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA, ASHRAE) and local building regulations. Proficiency with construction and project management software such as MS Project, Procore, Primavera, and design tools like Revit/AutoCAD. Excellent leadership, communication and client-facing skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors. Certification such as PMP, Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Professional Engineer (PE) is a plus. Ability to work on-site frequently and travel between project locations as required, and to handle the physical demands of construction site visits.
