Woodlawn, TN Job Details Full-time From $20 an hour 3 days ago Qualifications Estimating software Operations management Outdoor work Construction management software High school diploma or GED Driver's License Driving Productivity software Technical Proficiency Full Job Description The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of residential and/or light commercial gutter installation projects from initial customer contact through final walkthrough and closeout. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, to the highest quality standards, and with exceptional customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, coordinates crews and subcontractors, manages materials, and serves as the primary point of contact for homeowners.
Key focus areas include:
seamless gutter systems, gutter guards/protection, downspouts, leaf guards, fascia repairs, and related exterior work.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning & Coordination
  • Review job scopes, measurements, and proposals from sales/estimating teams.
  • Create and maintain detailed project schedules, including crew assignments, material deliveries, and timelines.
  • Order and track materials (gutters, guards, brackets, downspouts, etc.) to ensure timely availability on-site.
  • On-Site Management
  • Conduct pre-installation site visits and walkthroughs with customers and crews.
  • Oversee daily field operations, including setup of safety measures, job site preparation, and installation quality.
  • Supervise in-house gutter crews and/or subcontractors to ensure work meets manufacturer specifications, building codes, and company standards.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while minimizing disruptions to homeowners.
  • Customer Service & Communication
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers throughout the project.
  • Set clear expectations, provide regular updates, and address any concerns or change orders promptly.
  • Conduct final punch-list walkthroughs, obtain customer sign-off, and handle any post-installation follow-ups or warranty issues.
  • Budget & Quality Control
  • Monitor project costs, labor hours, and material usage to stay within budget.
  • Identify and resolve issues that could impact timeline, quality, or profitability (e.g., weather delays, material shortages, or scope changes).
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, permitting requirements, and local building codes.
  • Team Leadership & Administration
  • Train, motivate, and evaluate installation crews.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, photos, invoices, and reports.
  • Collaborate with sales, office staff, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Contribute to process improvements for efficiency in gutter installations.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
  • 2-5+ years of project management or field supervision experience in construction, home improvement, roofing, siding, or gutter/exterior services (gutter-specific experience strongly preferred).
  • Hands-on knowledge of gutter installation techniques, materials (aluminum, copper, steel), gutter guards, and related systems.
Skills:
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills (able to explain technical details clearly to homeowners).
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jobber, Buildertrend, or similar), Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, and basic estimating software.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
Other:
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record (company vehicle may be provided).
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and climb ladders as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; construction management certification or associate degree preferred.
