Job Description

Description We are looking for an experienced Property Manager to support an affordable housing community. This is a fully onsite contract-to-permanent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual who can balance resident service, operational oversight, and strong administrative execution. The person in this role will help drive occupancy, maintain compliance with affordable housing requirements, and contribute to the overall success of the property.
Responsibilities:
  • Direct day-to-day operations for the property, ensuring a well-run community and consistent service for residents.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for residents by responding to questions, resolving concerns, and handling communications in a detail-oriented manner.
  • Oversee leasing efforts, including applicant follow-up, move-in coordination, and support for maintaining strong occupancy levels.
  • Collect rent and other resident payments, monitor account activity, and follow established procedures for delinquency management.
  • Coordinate maintenance service requests with appropriate staff or vendors to help ensure timely completion and resident satisfaction.
  • Manage affordable housing documentation, including certifications and recertifications, in accordance with program guidelines and company standards.
  • Maintain accurate property records, prepare routine administrative documentation, and support office operations using designated software and reporting tools.
  • Monitor property performance and assist with operational improvements that support compliance, resident retention, and overall community success. Requirements
  • Experience in property management, with preference for residential or affordable housing environments (preferred but not required)
  • Experience handling leasing activities, resident relations, rent collection, and complaint resolution.
  • Proficiency with Yardi and Microsoft Office applications for recordkeeping, reporting, and daily administrative tasks.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with residents, staff, and partners.
  • Solid organizational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
