Psychologist 5.0 5.0 out of 5 stars 40 Beecher Rd, Woodbridge, CT 06525 Part-time Beecher Road School 5 reviews Part-time SUMMARY The Woodbridge School District consists of one school: Beecher Road School, a PK-6 elementary school employing approximately 165 staff members to serve and educate approximately 880 students. A caring, creative community, Beecher Road School models and inspires the joy of lifelong learning, embraces diversity, and celebrates the unique qualities of each person. Woodbridge is one of Connecticut's best towns, and Beecher Road School is the heart of the town. The District is recruiting a 0.5 FTE school psychologist to support students with a range of social and emotional needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct cognitive assessments and evaluations of students, including functional behavior assessments Develop and implement behavior management plans and individualized education programs to support student success Provide individual and group services to children and/or families Participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to provide collaborative consultations and recommendations for implementation of intervention strategiesEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Required:
Background, interest, and/or expertise in school psychology at the elementary level Hold or be eligible for State of Connecticut Certification as a school psychologist (070 certification required)Preferred:
Experience with philosophy and methods of Responsive Classroom Experience working with students who have experienced traumaSALARY AND BENEFITS
This position is a part-time, school-year position. Salary and benefits are in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between the District and the Woodbridge Education Association.
