Summer Computer Technician Woodbridge School District - 4.4 Woodbridge, CT Job Details Seasonal $17 - $21 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Computer hardware Full Job Description SUMMARY The Woodbridge School District consists of one school: Beecher Road School, a PreK-6 elementary school employing approximately 175 staff members to serve and educate approximately 875 students. Woodbridge is one of Connecticut's best towns. Beecher Road School is the heart of the town. For the summer of 2026, the District seeks a summer Computer Technician. The summer Computer Technician will support the IT Department with various tasks related to the maintenance and management of student and teacher devices. This is a temporary position designed to help with the increased workload during the summer period. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and capable of working independently.
RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Device Management:
Assist with the deletion of accounts and removal of applications from student devices. Update student devices with new applications and ensure they are properly configured for the upcoming school year. Perform software and firmware updates on devices as needed. 2.
Google Classroom Management:
Support the setup and management of Google Classroom for teachers. Assist with the organization and archiving of Google Classroom courses. Provide basic troubleshooting and support for Google Classroom issues. 3.
Inventory and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of device assignments and updates. Help with inventory management by tagging and cataloging new and existing devices. Document procedures and create user guides as necessary. 4.
Technical Support:
Provide basic technical support to staff and students regarding device issues. Assist with the setup and maintenance of IT equipment for summer programs and events. 5.
Other Duties:
Perform other IT-related tasks as assigned by the IT Department Manager/Coordinator. Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or current high school student with technical expertise Solid understanding of computer hardware and software. Familiarity with Google Workspace for Education, particularly Google Classroom. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lift and move IT equipment as needed.
WORK SCHEDULE
Temporary position for the summer period. Approximately 15-20 hours per week for 5 weeks between July 1, 2026 and August 15, 2027
COMPENSATION:
$17 - $21 per hour depending on experience
