Job Description

Category Schools - PTA Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic contract opportunity as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) supporting school-based services in an engaging educational environment. This role involves collaboration with an onsite Physical Therapist to deliver vital therapy interventions to students, promoting mobility and independence across educational settings. Candidates should be comfortable traveling up to 150 miles per week within the region, contributing expertise to an Educational Service District and making a meaningful difference in multiple schools.
Key Qualifications:
Valid PTA license and eligibility to practice in the state. Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred. Willingness to travel locally (up to 150 miles weekly) to serve multiple locations. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills for working closely with an onsite PT, educators, and families. Open to recent graduates; preference for candidates with at least one year of hands-on experience.
Core Responsibilities:
Provide direct and indirect physical therapy services to students in accordance with individualized education plans. Collaborate with an onsite Physical Therapist to develop, modify, and implement therapy plans and interventions. Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and related documentation for each student served. Participate in team meetings, assistive device assessments, and school-based staff training. Travel to various schools within the Educational Service District as assigned, ensuring continuity of care and support.
