Job Description

Category Schools - PTA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in a school-based setting as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). This position focuses on providing therapy to help children achieve their physical goals, enhance mobility, and improve overall participation in educational activities. You'll work closely with supervising Physical Therapists, teachers, and other specialists—all dedicated to student success.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in California Experience in school, pediatric, or educational settings preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to adapt interventions to diverse student needs and ages Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation is an asset Reliable, detail-oriented, and passionate about working with children
Key Responsibilities:
Implement therapeutic exercises and activities according to established care plans Support student participation in class and school routines by addressing physical barriers Document session notes and student progress accurately Collaborate with Physical Therapists and multidisciplinary teams on student care Communicate regularly with school staff and families regarding student needs and progress Assist in adapting classroom environments or equipment as determined by therapy plans
