Job Description
PRIMARY PURPOSE
Maintain the enforcement responsibility for adopted Rules and Regulations. Ensure the public safety of Association members, guests, employees, and contractors. Supervise department personnel on his/her assigned shifts.PRIMARY DUTIES
Respond to all incidents (i.e. complaints, fire, ambulance, crimes-in-progress, etc.). Issue citations when warranted (i.e. Traffic and Non-Traffic). Maintain radio communications with Control Center and other patrol vehicles. Notify the Shift Supervisor and Control of any unusual occurrence that may involve, but not limited to, POA licensed premises, serious assaults, damage to amenities, any action that involved a response on the part of local, federal, and/or state law enforcement personnel. Be in contact with Law Enforcement agencies to exchange information and procedures relating to criminal matters within the confines of The Hideout. Must inform O.I.C, or Operations Supervisor or Public Safety Manager. Ensure that all POA Buildings and installations have been checked, (alarmed and locked when necessary) during his/her tour of duty. Responsible to identify and log in all calls for service, visits, and any action taken on his/her respective shift. Respond as directed by Control and take appropriate action as required. Escort responding Emergency Service personnel as requested. Must understand and be knowledgeable of POA Rules and Regulations, Department Orders, and Operation procedures as they relate to the Public Safety function. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Public Safety Manager and/or Operations Supervisor.EXPERIENCE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS
At least one-year experience in Security position preferred. Act 235 certification required with Armed experience. First Aid/CPR/AED certification required. EMT certification a plus. Must possess good decision-making skills and a high level of patience in dealing effectively with property owners in a polite and courteous manner at all times. Must be detailed oriented and have excellent writing, documentation, communications and interpersonal skills. Must be certified in and able to use tools and equipment required (i.e. Firearm, Pepper Spray, Taser, Handcuffing, Baton, Radar, etc.). Must be able to remain calm in an emergency situation. Must be flexible and capable of working well under pressure. Must be able to work with little or no supervision. Must possess a valid PA Driver's License.WORKING CONDITIONS
May be asked to work overtime or double shift. Work is performed inside and outside with exposure to inclement weather and unpredictable situations. Must be in Hideout issued uniform while on duty. The Public Safety Manager or the Operations Supervisor must approve any exception to this rule. Attendance at Public Safety related seminars sponsored by The Hideout is recommended for all Officers.SAFETY HAZARDS OF THE JOB
Public Safety Officers carry heavy responsibilities and sometimes work irregular hours - this may cause stress and possible burnout. They may suffer serious bodily injury through acts of crime, violence or interaction with irate individuals. Inspection tours in the outside, at all hours, may expose the security officer to the hazards of harsh weather Road accidents, in particularly in inclement weather Slips and falls on wet grounds, in particularly in the dark Possible injury caused by heavy lifting (i.e. helping injured/sick individuals into emergency vehicles; lifting boxes of supplies). Dog bites due to incompetent dog handling.Pay:
