Punchout Technician

Porter Construction Group is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Punch-Out Technician to join our growing residential construction team. This role is responsible for completing final-phase construction and remodeling tasks on high-end residential projects throughout the Atlanta area. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, communicates professionally with homeowners and project managers, and can independently complete punch list items with efficiency and attention to detail. This position requires experience in residential construction with a strong focus on painting, carpentry, drywall/Sheetrock repair, trim work, and final finishing tasks. Responsibilities Complete residential construction punch list items prior to project turnover Perform drywall/Sheetrock repairs including patching, sanding, texture matching, and finishing Handle interior and exterior painting, touch-ups, caulking, and surface prep Install and repair trim, baseboards, doors, hardware, cabinetry, and finish carpentry items Identify quality control issues and proactively correct deficiencies Maintain clean and organized job sites during final project stages Coordinate with project managers to ensure punch items are completed on schedule Communicate professionally with clients, subcontractors, and team members Assist with light framing, hardware installation, and miscellaneous construction tasks as needed Ensure all work meets Porter Construction Group quality standards Qualifications 3+ years of residential construction or punch-out experience preferred Strong knowledge of painting, drywall finishing, trim carpentry, and general residential repairs Ability to work independently and manage multiple punch list tasks efficiently Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively Reliable transportation and valid driver's license Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical construction tasks daily Preferred Skills Experience in high-end residential remodels and custom homes Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical troubleshooting Ability to read plans and scopes of work Familiarity with warranty and homeowner service work Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Opportunity for advancement within a growing construction company Consistent pipeline of residential remodeling and custom home projects Supportive team environment focused on craftsmanship and professionalism About Porter Construction Group Porter Construction Group specializes in residential remodeling, additions, custom homes, and high-quality construction projects throughout the Atlanta area.
