Job Description
Job Overview:
At Emerald Luxury Coaches, we specialize in building high-end, custom living quarters inside motor coaches, combining craftsmanship, precision, and premium materials to deliver a luxury experience on the road. We are seeking a skilled Purchasing Clerk to support our production team by sourcing the high-quality materials, components, and finishes that bring our custom builds to life. This role is critical to ensuring our coaches meet the highest standards of quality while maintaining cost efficiency and production timelines. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a keen understanding of purchasing within a manufacturing environment. Success in this position means consistently securing the right materials, at the right time, and at the best value to support the creation of our luxury products.Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:
Include, but are not limited to: Receive, review, and process purchase requests. Create, manage, and follow up on purchase orders. Provide invoices, purchase orders, and receipts to the accounting department as needed. Collaborate with warehouse shipping and receiving teams to process incoming materials. Assist with data entry in the inventory management system and maintain accuracy through cycle counts and inventory audits. Monitor and maintain appropriate stock levels. Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with vendors. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, timely delivery, and contract compliance. Work with warehouse staff to verify the quality of incoming supplies. Prepare and submit reports to management, including purchasing activity, expenditures, and cost-saving strategies.Qualifications & Required Skills:
Experience in purchasing, procurement, or buying within a manufacturing environment. Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced setting with a proactive, results-driven approach. Strong verbal and written communication skills. High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines. Professional demeanor with the ability to collaborate across departments and with vendors. Strong problem-solving skills and forward-thinking mindset. Flexibility to take on a variety of tasks as needed. Self-motivated and proactive work style. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and QuickBooks.Benefits:
