Purchasing, Compliance, & Inventory Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated Purchasing, Compliance, and Inventory Manager for our cultivation site. This role is responsible for maintaining continuous accurate inventories for all aspects of cultivation center production, including cultivation center supplies, inputs, seeds, cuttings, plants, harvested flower and other materials, green waste, flower for extraction, intermediate and end cannabis products, and in process and packaged for-sale inventory. The ideal candidate will ensure full compliance with state/federal and other regulatory authorities and organizations. They are also responsible for purchasing production and operating supplies for the cultivation site, including day-to-day purchasing as well as long-term strategic buying.

Inventory and Compliance Supervisor Essential Functions:

Manage production and operating supply purchases including purchasing, receiving, shipping and reportingCreate and maintain weekly, quarterly and annual departmental inventory audits schedulingMaintain all documentation and facilitate audits required to operate compliantly with all governing bodiesManage inventory control support team by directing, assisting, training, and distributing inventory workload to maintain cannabis inventory compliance Manage par levels of inventory and ensure incoming supplies to the cultivation center are received, inventoried, and managed appropriately to eliminate shortagesManage and coordinate required annual inventory audit and inspections for the cultivation centerSource and implement inventory control tools to ensure compliant operation as the cultivation centers scaleProvide routine management updates and reports on inventory performanceCoordinate continued process and operations improvements with operations managers through use of Root Cause and Corrective ActionManage and coordinate IDOA required annual inventory audit for each cultivation centerDevelop the organization's procurement rules and regulationsEstablish guidelines on safety stock, reorder point and quotingAct as a buyer of durable assets for automation, scaling and other functionsAssist accounting and planning with capital expenditure approval processes when neededEstablish guidelines and evaluate quality, price, reliability, technical support, and contracts of components, negotiate pricing for raw materials, research and track raw materials, and update all pricing and reporting pricing changes as requestedMonitor company inventory for turnoverAssist with coordination of shipping and receiving of materials, samples and products with customers, vendors and suppliersObtain all raw material safety data sheets, working with Quality Assurance when necessaryMaintain and establish multi-source vendors and maintain files accordinglyInput into inventory counts (ABC analysis) and submit appropriate reports to managementWorking knowledge of purchasing, sourcing, supplier performance management, supply chain and inventory strategies & practicesMaintain confidentiality of all products, processes and financial informationWork closely with accounts payable on processing and verifying invoicesMatch invoices with purchase orders to help to resolve discrepanciesMaintain vendor records and respond to inquiries regarding payments and reconciliations Salary $70000
