Job Description

Supervisory Responsibilities:
None Purpose:
To inspect work-in-process and final products to ensure conformance to product requirements, conformance with procedures, work instructions, and quality documentation.
Duties/Responsibilities :
Ensure a safe work environment for self and others. Follows all safety rules and regulations. Demonstrate commitment to safety program. Perform inspections per inspection reports. May conduct audits of finished goods material per inspection reports. Proficient in the use of mechanical inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, indicators, go/no go gauges, and other mechanical inspection equipment. Able to interpret and understand op-sketch features Accurately complete reports and all necessary paper work for the jobs. Utilizes the 5-S principles (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, and sustain) to maintain an orderly, clean and safe work area. Able to pull up and run an existing Zeiss, Micro-Vu and Gear Analyzer program Build shop gauging boxes for upcoming jobs, including signing gages out of the electronic database Receive used gauging returned back in from the shop, checking them in on the electronic gauge database and assuring the gauges are clean and serviceable prior to stowing them in their assigned locations Perform receiving inspection of incoming materials, including raw forgings and hardware. Perform final inspection of finished goods prior to their being loaded for transfer or shipment Actively participates in CIP events to improve the safety, quality, and efficiencies of our current processes and procedures. Demonstrate commitment to the TEAM Industries Quality Management system and Objectives. Promote a positive atmosphere by actively supporting activities that promote the welfare and morale of TEAM employees, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement, and communicating to all in a professional manner. Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Education & Experience :
High school diploma or GED preferred Manufacturing experience in die casting desired but not required Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record. Must be on the TEAM drivers' list. Able to travel, overnight if necessary, for advanced training, visiting other TEAM locations and suppliers preferred
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to follow work instructions Must be detail oriented, with the ability to recognize defects and non-conformities Regular attendance
Training:
OJT for QA Inspector I Physical Demands Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs, occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 lbs, rarely lifting up to 40 lbs. Ability to stand up to 100% of shift Ability to do repetitive movements (i.e. bending, twisting, walking, climbing stairs) QA Inspector I -
Night Shift Purpose:
To inspect work-in-process and final products to ensure conformance to product requirements, conformance with procedures, work instructions, and quality documentation.
