Job Description:

This Physics AI startup is compressing engineering design cycles from weeks to seconds, combining high-fidelity simulation with cutting-edge machine learning. Backed by top-tier VCs and trusted by leading names in aerospace, automotive, and defense, they've built a platform that sits at the intersection of physical reality and the next generation of AI.

The technical foundation is serious:

petabyte-scale simulation datasets, real-time inference, and deployment environments ranging from public cloud to air-gapped defense networks. This isn't a test management role. It's an architectural leadership position for someone who wants to own quality engineering across an entire platform, and rebuild what QE looks like in an AI-first world. You'll define how quality gets built into the system from the ground up. That means designing QE frameworks for performance, scale, and longevity testing across the full stack, from physics AI model training and inference to the developer-facing SDKs that engineering customers use every day. You'll integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines, embed AI agents into the test development process, and partner with platform engineering, ML, and product to make sure what ships is production-ready. Senior IC role with real architectural influence. You'll be expected to write code and move fast, not just direct others.

What We're Looking For:

Demonstrated experience as a QE architect owning quality across a full platform stack, not just a single layer. This is the core requirement. Strong Python skills at a production level, plus familiarity with Bash and SQL. Go or C++ experience is a plus. Solid hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, Docker, Kubernetes, and at least one major cloud platform like GCP. Real comfort building with AI coding tools, specifically Claude Code, and a genuine interest in turning the end-to-end test development and execution process into an automated system. The ability to work as an IC across teams, influencing developers to adopt frameworks and improve coverage without needing authority to do it. Curious, collaborative, low ego. You move fast, take ownership, and learn quickly in ambiguous environments. An interest in physics is a genuine plus here, not just a nice-to-have on paper.
