Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Quality Control Technician to join our team in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting a variety of physical, chemical, and microbiological analyses to ensure the quality and safety of raw materials, in-process items, and finished products. This role requires adherence to strict quality control protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Testing & Analysis:
Conduct physical, chemical, and microbiological analyses on raw materials, in-process items, finished products, and water samples to ensure compliance with company standards and specifications.Laboratory Operations:
Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments; prepare and manage testing materials, solutions, standards, solvents, and controls.Sampling & Inspection:
Collect, label, and organize product and water samples from production lines and storage; perform routine line inspections and maintain retention inventory.Data Management & Reporting:
Accurately record test results and quality data, maintain detailed documentation, and promptly report any out-of-specification findings to supervisors.Compliance & Safety:
Adhere to GMPs, plant safety procedures, environmental regulations, and OSHA standards to maintain a clean and safe laboratory environmentQualifications & Skills:
0-2+ years of experience in quality control/quality assurance (preferably in the food manufacturing industry). High School diploma or GED required. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed. Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Excel, Word). Solid math skills. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
