1st Shift•Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM•2:30PM Pay Range:
$24.00•$28.00 per hour (Level will be determined by assessment test, skill set and experience during interview process. May be negotiable if a strong applicant) Position Summary Under the supervision of the Quality Assurance Inspector Supervisor and Lead Quality Assurance Inspector, the Quality Assurance Inspector (Level II) provides inspection support for non-critical parts, ensuring the integrity and quality of materials received from vendors as well as final products produced by Roncelli Plastics. This position involves handling confidential information; adherence to a Confidentiality Agreement is required. Essential Functions Receiving Inspection Inspect all incoming raw materials, finished goods, hardware, and processed parts from vendors, as well as customer-supplied material. Verify that all required documentation is received and complies with purchase order requirements. In-Process Inspection Conduct inspections throughout the manufacturing process, from first article to final inspection, in a fast-paced environment. Verify first articles, audit production jobs, and initiate SPC when applicable. Perform work-in-progress (WIP) inspections. Final Inspection Confirm all operations on job travelers are completed and approved. Perform dimensional and visual inspections in accordance with customer purchase orders, blueprints, drawings, checklists, and part lists. Generate First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) and Dimensional Inspection Data Reports when applicable. Verify part marking, unit packaging, and required documentation for product shipment. Other Duties Use manufacturing software such as JobBoss, DocuWare, PC-DMIS, and MS Office. Perform additional tasks as required. Skills, Knowledge, and Experience 3-5 years of relevant inspection experience in a plastic and/or metallic machine shop environment (required). Experience withISO9001/AS9100
standards and internal audit procedures (preferred). Proficiency in inspection tools, equipment calibration, and tool recall processes. Ability to operate comparators and Micro-Vu with minimal supervision. Strong blueprint reading skills and shop math proficiency, including trigonometric and geometric calculations, conversions, and GD&T application.Skilled in inspection tools:
micrometers, calipers, height gages, comparators, etc. Ability to complete inspection forms and reports accurately. Programming and operating knowledge of Keyence, CMM, and Romer Arm (basic to mid-level). Strong attention to detail, visual acuity, and adaptability to changing priorities. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate across all organizational levels. Physical Demands Walk, stand, and/or sit for extended periods. Bend at the waist and knees. Lift/move up to 10 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 25 lbs (assistance available for heavier items). Perform repetitive motions with arms, wrists, hands, and fingers (including keyboarding). Perceive object attributes (size, shape, color, distance, weight, texture). Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Pass an annual eye exam (corrected or uncorrected) with near vision 20/25 or better and satisfactory color vision. Work Environment Machine shop environment with large machinery and equipment.
