Job Description

Summary/Objective The Quality Assurance Manager's primary function is maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure procedures, specifications, documentation, and processes meet GMP, AIB, and customer standards. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. § Coordinate and lead on-site audits by customers and third parties. § Conduct internal audits and manage external audit processes to maintain AIB certification. § Ensure finished product meets all internal and customer specifications. § Oversight of performance of quality test equipment including internal and external calibration programs. § Manage Pest Control Program. § Manage plant HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) Program. § Prepare and submit regulatory documentation to customers as required. § Establish department and individual goals and coach to improve performance. § Collaborate with Customer Service, Sales, and Production to translate customer needs and expectations internally and provide quality support. § Monitor internal and external quality performance. Report results regularly to senior management. § Review customer and internal specifications for accuracy and compliance. § Process control methods to assist in production processes that affect P&L or customer satisfaction. § Submit CoA's and CoC's as required through Customer's Supplier Portals. § Manage overtimes costs at an efficient and appropriate level. Additional duties as assigned by General Manager. Competencies § Leadership and management skills. § Organization and time management skills. § Professional verbal and written communication skills. § Understanding statistical sampling and acceptance quality limits as required by customers. § Problem Solving/Analysis. § Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). § Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and security of project-related information. Supervisory Responsibility § Must be able to motivate, monitor, and lead subordinates to achieve appropriate performance standards . § Develop, document, and maintain quality assurance processes and procedures. § Manager customer complaints and work with others to coordinate a successful resolution for both clients and CCL interests through Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action. § Train and develop the Quality Department personnel to ensure appropriate inspection techniques for product release. § Supervise department personnel to ensure efficient use of time, materials, and resources. § Establish department and individual goals and coach to improve performance. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office and light manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copies, and fax machines. Physical Demands The following physical qualifications must be met to perform the essential functions of this job: Ability to bend, reach, crawl, twist, stand, sit, and lift at least twenty pounds unassisted is required. The ability to remain in a seated position for long periods of time is required. The ability to see, hear, count, measure, read, and follow verbal directives in English is required. The ability to utilize fine motor skills while working on sensitive machinery is essential. The ability to perform repetitive upper body motion is required. Position Type / Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Travel - Minimal Required Education/Experience Bachelor's Degree. At least 5 years of quality experience is required. Demonstrate a knowledge of GMP's is essential. Preferred Education and Experience Previous label experience and/or knowledge of printing, bindery and application processes or equivalent quality experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
