$115,000 - $145,000 Our client is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead food safety and quality initiatives for a growing food and beverage manufacturing facility in Turlock, CA. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all QA and food safety programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, maintaining audit readiness, and driving continuous improvement throughout the plant. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on quality leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about food safety, operational excellence, and building strong teams.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all food safety and quality assurance programs throughout the facility
- Oversee SQF, HACCP, GMP, sanitation, and regulatory compliance initiatives
- Ensure the facility remains audit-ready for customer, third-party, and regulatory audits
- Manage internal audits, corrective actions, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts
- Partner closely with Operations, Production, Maintenance, and Sanitation teams to maintain quality standards
- Drive food safety culture across the organization through training and leadership
- Review and maintain SOPs, quality documentation, specifications, and policies
- Monitor plant quality metrics and identify opportunities for process improvement
- Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective/preventive actions
- Lead and develop the QA team while promoting accountability and collaboration
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field
- 5+ years of QA leadership experience within food and beverage manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of SQF, HACCP, GMPs, FDA, and food safety regulations
- Experience leading and participating in audits and regulatory inspections
- Proven ability to lead teams in a manufacturing environment
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
